HON. JUSTICE L. O. AROJO

Biography

Hon. Justice Arojo Lawrence Olawale, born on 20th April 1968, finished primary school in 1979, finished secondary school in 1984, completed his upper six (HSC) from Oyo State College of Arts and Science in 1986. His Lordship obtained his LLB (Hons) from Uniben in 1993, BL in 1995 and got called to the Bar in March 1995. He observed NYSC at Enugu State and concluded same in 1996. He practised law briefly in Lagos before joining the Magisterial Bench of Osun state in 1998 as Magistrate grade 2. He moved up the ladder up to Deputy Chief Registrar 2 and 1 and eventually became the Chief Registrar of Osun State High Court in October 2014. He obtained his LL.M degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 2012.

He served briefly as Secretary of Judicial Service Commission, Osun State between 2011/2012. He eventually got elevated to the High Court Bench upon being sworn in on the 25th October 2019.

His Lordship was Chairman of the Justice Sector Committee Osun State while being the Chief Registrar of Osun State High Court. A strict and firm administrator his Lordship was Chairman of so many ad-hoc judicial bodies while being at the High court registry. He is Chairman of an NGO, and member of Board of academic institution and other bodies. He has attended conferences and workshops within and outside Nigeria. He equally delivered papers in workshops of law and justice background. He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC).

His hobbies include farming, traveling, and reading. His Lordship is married with children.
