The Registry

The Registry of the High Court is the intermediate level between the High Court and Magistrate Court and it is the Administrative centre in charge of the day to day running of the High Court.

The Registry takes care of files of staff. It consists of three (3) essential Departments namely: Administrative Department, Litigation Department and Finance & Accounts Department. Under these are divisions and units like Maintenance, Appeal, Library, Probate, Training, Planning, Salary, Special duties unit, Audit, Establishment, Monitoring and Evaluation etc

The Chief Registrar is the Administrative Head of the High Court Registry. He is assisted by four (4) other legally qualified officers like him who rose through the ranks from The Magisterial Bench. These are the Deputy Chief Registrars.

Francis Isola Omisade was born on April 15, 1966 in Ile-Ife, Osun State. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and Magistrates’ Association of Nigeria. Prior to his appointment as a Magistrate in Osun State Judiciary in December 2000, he worked as a Litigation Officer in Yakur Local Government, Cross River State (1996 – 1997) as a Youth Corps member. He also had a brief practice in the Law Chambers of Bamidele A. Aiku (SAN) and Co. (1998 – 2000). He rose through the ranks and became DCR (Probate Matters) on 5 March, 2021. He was on 24th January 2023 made the Acting Chief Registrar of the High Court of Justice, Osun State. He enjoys reading and farming. He is married with children.

Asimiyu Abiona ADEBAYO hails from Ikirun, Ifelodun Local Government, Osun State. He attended: The Apostolic Church Primary School, Ipetu-Ijesa; Holy Michael High School, Ikirun; Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife; The Nigerian Law School, Bwari, Abuja. He worked as a Pupil Counsel at Olatoye Aminu & Co, Osogbo and while in practice, he appeared in the Magistrate's Courts and the High Courts in his own right as a counsel. He also appeared at the Osun State Boundaries Commission, Osogbo and the Court of Appeal together with his Principal, Olatoye Aminu Esq. He was appointed Magistrate Grade II in December, 2000 and thereafter worked in Iree, Igbajo, Ijebu-Jesa,  Ipetu-Ijesa, Okuku, Ila-Orangun, Oke-Ila, Ibokun, Esa-Oke, Ilesa, Ile-Ife and Osogbo Magisterial Districts. He rose through the ranks to become the Deputy Chief Registrar V of the Osun State High Court in May, 2022. He is currently the Deputy Chief Registrar I (Admin). His hobbies include reading, travelling, farming and hunting. He performed holy pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia in 2012. He is married with children.

Aluko Emmanuel Oluwasola, was born on 8th December, 1968 at Ijeda-Ijesa in Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State to a Christian family. He attended L. A. Primary School, Ijeda–Ijesa, Erinmo Community Grammar School, Erinmo–Ijesa, Obafemi Awolowo University, (O.A.U) Ile–Ife and Nigerian Law School, Bwari, Abuja. He was appointed into Osun State Judiciary, as a Magistrate Grade ll in the year 2000. He rose through the ranks to become a Chief Magistrate Grade 1 (Admin). He was formerly the Secretary of the Magistrates’ Association of Nigeria, Osun State Chapter. He is currently the Deputy Chief Registrar II on Litigation matters. He is married and blessed with promising children. He likes driving, football (goalkeeping) and reading.

Modupe Adedoyin Awodele was born on February 8. She was appointed as Magistrate Grade II in Osun State Judiciary on December 7, 2001. She rose through the ranks to become Chief Magistrate Grade I and before her appointment as a Deputy Chief Registrar (Maintenance), she presided over the Chief Magistrate's Court 1, Ilesa. She is married with children.

Abimbola Olamiju Famuyide was born on 14th April and obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 1997. She was called to Bar in 1999 and appointed as Magistrate Grade 2 on 7th December 2001. She has risen through the ranks to become Chief Magistrate Grade 1 and is presently the Deputy Chief Registrar on Probate matters.

Prince Ijiyode Adetunji Olalekan hails from Ile-Ife, Ife Central Local Government, Osun State, Nigeria. He attended St. Paul Anglican Primary School, Ile-Ife and then St John's Catholic High School, Ile-Ife. He later proceeded to study Law in that great citadel of learning called Obafemi Awolowo university Ile-Ife and was a pioneer sets of The Nigerian Law School, Bwari-Abuja in 1997/98. After the completion of the mandatory youth service, he worked as a pupil counsel at Disun Delano & Co, Yaba, Lagos. While in that Chambers he was opportuned to appear in all strata of Courts in Nigeria. He was appointed Magistrate Grade II in December 2001 and has risen from the rung of the ladder to Chief Magistrate Grade I. He is currently a Deputy Chief Registrar of the High Court. His hobbies include reading, travelling, watching Movies and farming. He is happily married with children.
There are other supporting staff in charge of each of the departments assisting the Chief Registrar namely; Assistant Chief Registrar (Administration), Assistant Chief Registrar (Litigation), Assistant Chief Registrar (Maintenance) and Director of Finance & Accounts. This intermediate level takes care of the welfare of staff generally including Judges and Magistrates.
